Slotted rotors vs OEM

Slotted rotors for your RX-7 are a top choice for more efficient and reliable brakes with cooler operating temperatures and extended service intervals.

During both normal and hard braking, gasses from friction & heat are released from the pad's surface. As the rotor slots move across the pad, the gases are allowed to escape, similar to water under a tire tread. This allows the pad to generate more friction without added pedal effort.

At the same time, abrasive particles that would normally be trapped between the brake rotor & brake pad surface are wiped off the pad and collected in the slots. As the slot moves away from the pad, the particles are released. This aids cooling and helps extends pad and brake rotor life on your RX-7.

Proper installation for Trak Pro slotted rotors is when rotating forward, the end of the slot at the outer diameter of the rotor leads or moves ahead of the of the slots end at the inner diameter. Forward rotation on left side is counter clockwise & forward rotation on right side is counter clockwise, assuming you're looking at outside face of the wheel.
